MIDLIFE CRISIS TOUR 2026

(Or maybe just “finally doing the thing I’ve talked about for years” tour.)

Now that I’m officially free from owning a small business, goodbye Old Crow Tattoo, and my knee is somewhat healed, I’m yeeting myself into the wilderness for the next 4–6 months… maybe longer if society continues to give me the ick.

For the last seven years I’ve dreamed about disappearing into the mountains in my camper van with my cat(s), and apparently turning 40 unlocked the “feral forest cryptid” expansion pack. So here we are.

Just a girl, a 4x4 van, two tiny cats, fishing poles, dirt bike, bear mace, and what can only be described as a medically concerning amount of optimism, heading into the Boundary Ranges, to get beautifully, spiritually lost for the summer.

I’ll be adventuring and tattooing along the way. So if you’ve been looking for a sign to go touch grass and get tattooed in the same week, this is it. If you live somewhere along my route, hit me up. I’m down for coffee, hikes, dirt bike chaos, campfires, tattoos, or exchanging cryptic life advice in a gas station parking lot.

Also: if you have travel recommendations, hidden gems, weird roadside attractions, good fishing spots, or “don’t get murdered there” advice, send it my way.

A big part of this trip is about learning solo self-sufficiency and reconnecting with myself outside of work-brain survival mode. But it’s also about reconnecting with humans — old friends, new friends, family, random forest goblins, whoever.

Meanwhile, my schoolwork is remote, i'm still elbow deep in that. You can expect that i will be talking about lots of tech, AI, big data, and engineering.

I’ll be posting the journey on Instagram, so prepare yourselves for an aggressive amount of mountain photos, blurry campfire videos, cats in weird places, and me pretending I know how to fish.

The world’s been heavy lately. And yeah, this is objectively an insane time financially to disappear into the woods. But for the first time in a long time, I actually can. So I’m choosing dirt under my nails, wind in my hair, and becoming a person again instead of a business owner shaped stress ball.

Anyway. Catch me somewhere between “healing journey” and “missing person poster.”
